Phobos and Deimos are both the exact same model of polycarbonate white MacBook, the lastest year printed on the shells and frames I could find being 2008. Phobos is currently running antiX 64bit and is being used as my offline only finance and business tracker, with spreadsheets and pie charts abound, supporting a handful of year-over-year reviews since they were aquired in late 2023. I have only really turned on Deimos to confirm that it indeed boots, however I have scarce touched it since, only really using it for spare parts.

Deimos was originally discovered within a month of Phobos being found inside my barracks building during a "spring cleaning" working party. The battery was woefully swolen, it had 8GB of (DDR2?) and a SATA 260GB SSD that needed more volts and amps than the motherboard could provide. Currently, Deimos has no hard drive, 2GB of (DDR2)? and no battery.

My plans for Phobos are to keep it as is, since it is currently fufilling a needed role.

My plans for Deimos are as follows:

• Translucent Key-Lime shell, to include keycaps
• swap/hack DVD-RW drive with a Blu-Ray RW
• SSD swap
• possible keyboard switch swap
• rebuild battery (also needed for Phobos)
