I have started work on reconstructing the battery for Neptune and Artemis. So far I have just opened the packs in a very brutish and messy manner, but failed to realize I do not yet own the proper equiptment; namely a spot welder. I think I'll order the 18650 cells for both and a spot welder with this year's tax return.

Artemis was aquired in late 2025 during a sudden impulse to finally find out why everyone was obsessed with ThinkPads, and the tipping point of my dive into retro computing. The blazing fast almost 2GHz Pentium IV and 1GB (DDR?) running antiX 32bit has been about as on-par of an experience that I've had with Phobos on the 64bit release of antiX. I have considered it to replace Phobos as a finance and busness manager, since it is an International Business Machine, but it's limited multitasking and program launch time relegates it to being something that I can practice using the BASH terminal, and to write files and programs to 3.5" floppy via the UltraBay 2000 hot-swap port.
